University of Montpellier

Biography

Cleiton Magano Marques has received a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), Brazil, in 2020 and a Master degree in Microelectronics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil, in 2021. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student at Université de Montpellier, France, in the framework of the RADNEXT project. His research interests include nanotechnology, radiation faults, and SRAM reliability.

Role in RADNEXT

We will develop and apply simulation tools and approaches for modelling radiation effects on electronics such as SEU/SET. There are 4 main points:

  • Impact of circuit layout and input vector on SET sensitivity of combinational circuits to design more reliable circuits;
  • Impact of low-energy particles such as protons and neutrons in the 1-10 MeV energy range;
  • Circuit-level modelling: We’ll investigate alternative simplistic models that can be used to accelerate the reliability assessment process of complex electronic circuits and evaluate their accuracy;
  • Experimental part: a test chip will be designed and irradiated to validate the simulation results and the proposed circuit and radiation effects models.
