Levi Mariën

PhD student (WP06)
KU Leuven

Biography

Levi Marien received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Electronics-Engineering at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. During his education, Levi performed his thesis within ARM’s Multimedia Processing and Graphics (MPG) team in Lund, Sweden. Here he explored the capabilities of using High-Level Synthesis (HLS) for the design and verification of IPs used within the Mali GPUs. After graduating in 2019, Levi started working at Nokia in Antwerp, Belgium, in the System on Chip (SoC) team of the Fixed Network division. Here, he primarily focused on CPU architecture, design, and Verification. Levi started his PhD at KU Leuven in December of 2022. His research targets a generic architecture that can be implemented in any arbitrary pipeline to mitigate Single-Event Upsets (SEU) with zero latency and a minimal impact on speed and area.

Role in RADNEXT

WP6 research efforts target the standardization of radiation test methodologies for electronic systems. Within this RADNEXT project, Levi focuses on designing a remote platform that can be used for the remote radiation testing of both hardware and software.
